The Universe Cares Not
Tis true. I hate to break it to you (actually I don't but it's nice to think I do, isn't it) but the Universe isn't on your side. The Universe is the Universe and stars are exploding in all corners of it. They will keep exploding regardless of what you do right here right now.
Now, in my worldview, that is both a relief and a point of contention but in either case of how you see it, if you choose to go on and do something about your situation, to make a change or a contribution or a difference, I'm not saying that what you do here doesn't matter.
I'm saying to do something. Anything. Because regardless of how minuscule the action you take is to the outer Universe, your inner Universe is where it really makes the difference. And doing so just might put you in a position where you can allow what you want to unfold in only the way that someone who has let go of the grip they think they hold on reality to that degree can.
Now, I do want to add one caveat. Yes, I'm a 100% disabled veteran diagnosed as having a psychotic and schizoid nature by doctors who all have degrees and can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I'm for all intents and purposes not totally sane. I'm not saying I can navigate this terrain so well that the Universe bends to my will. It doesn't. Herein lies my point.
To the degree that you can let go and let "G-d" in the most positive sense of that word, you give yourself a fighting chance to contend in this Universe on the level that the Universe actually exists ... not just on the level you think it exists but in the organic embodied experiential kind of way where you get to trust your own eyes ... and what you see is what you get.
